In cold weather, Husband makes lamb stew for us. It lasts a few days and is great to have during busy work weeks when you come in the door wanting comfort food.
Just a quick post to share some fun Halloween Specials and clips to brighten your holiday!

These unbelievably easy and tasty cookies are courtesy of Rachel Epstein and (along with many other recipes) can be found in Hosting With Style – Beretta Fleur’s Guide to Parties and Homemaking.
Naturally gluten-free, they are also perfect for Passover. Rachel brought them to Passover a few years ago and I would NOT stop eating them When I make them for my office, they get rave reviews and also complaints because they are so addictive.

Sorry that there has been ZERO blogging forever on my part… I am so busy and my regular day job does not afford me the extra time I used to have to blog. But once in awhile I hop on here and post-date some stuff so you can see what I’ve been up to!
I’ve been working on the Summer Issue of Dames, Planes and Automobiles. Featuring my usual layout and artwork, as well as an article on The War in the Pacific. A fun romp through the sand and surf with gorgeous dames, fighter planes, curvy cars, and a ton of great articles on living the vintage lifestyle, local artists, and groups that help out Veterans and active Military.
Our cover features this awesome shot by 666 Photography with cover girl Shana Nicole, a fellow Houston Texas pinup.
I celebrated my birthday with a Summer Solstice Party. With lots of prep work and zero cooking except for grilling, this easy summer menu feeds 20 people easily and keeps you enjoying the party, not slaving in the kitchen, while looking like WAY more effort than it is.
If guests ask what they can bring, suggest beer, vodka, a prepared salad or a desert. For dessert, my sister brought these Lemon Bars which were a huge hit. I couldn’t eat them so I made my standard Peach Cobbler, which I’ll post separately soon. Another friend brought some wonderful prepared salads from Whole Foods which added a nice touch to the menu.
If grilling isn’t an option, the meat and fish can be prepared in a hot heavy skillet on the stove.

This Spring, check out the Dames Planes and Automobiles Spring 2014 Issue with a lineup of beautiful dames in their favorite Elvgren recreation poses and tributes, like this gorgeous shot of Sirena Siren by Tim Hunter Photography.
If you’re a fan of the classic artist Gil Elvgren, this is a great issue for you!
Wait, what? It’s October?
I need to pause and take a break. Hi! And here is my latest news.
Husband and I have been adjusting well to our new lives in Texas. I’ve also been doing the odd website and article, and I have new content coming out soon in Pinup Perfection Magazine and on Offbeat Home & Life.
This is a post with bonus material to go along with my new article on Tiki Parties in Atomic Bombshells Issue #6! A couple of these signs you may recall from my tiki birthday bash post a year or so ago, but most items I’ve been keeping to myself and are Brand Spanking New!

This week, I’m featuring a blogger I adore, and her tasty glazed salmon recipe!
Meet pretty Kayla, of the blog Gracefully Vintage, who hails from Sydney, Australia. I enjoy looking at her beautiful Instagram feed which features her vintage outfits and a peek into her life, especially when she’s enjoying summer and I’m freezing on the other side of the world.
The other day she posted this delicious-looking meal, and I begged her to share! She was kind enough to oblige.
