These unbelievably easy and tasty cookies are courtesy of Rachel Epstein and (along with many other recipes) can be found in Hosting With Style – Beretta Fleur’s Guide to Parties and Homemaking.
Naturally gluten-free, they are also perfect for Passover. Rachel brought them to Passover a few years ago and I would NOT stop eating them When I make them for my office, they get rave reviews and also complaints because they are so addictive.

In June, my niece decided she wanted to celebrate her Half-Birthday, since her regular birthday, like many in our family, falls in December and gets absorbed by the Holidays.
Even though I have a sordid history of not being able to bake well, I decided to take on the challenge and make her a 3-D bunny cake.
I love Spring… it just feels like a new opportunity to get into warm weather party mode.

In honor of the year turning toward the warmer months, I’ve compiled a few Pinterest Boards of spring holiday decorating and menu ideas for Passover, Equinox, and Easter festivities, or that will work for a festive brunch, intimate wedding, baby shower, tea, or bridal shower.
I’ve also included a few of my own ideas and recipes too!

It’s the Holiday season, and life has been pretty hectic with a cross-country move into a somewhat nomadic lifestyle of freelance and contract work for me and Husband. Currently, we’re stationed in Atlanta in my parents’ winter home, which they generously loaned us through the season.
During the Holidays, my family and circle of friends celebrates Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s, and The Russian New Year. Add in dietary restrictions, and there’s a lot of room for experimenting with traditional recipes! I made these gluten-free latkes for my husband and sister the other day for an intimate brunch. It was my first time making them and I’m really pleased with how they turned out.
Check out my latest article and photo, “Vintage Gift Shopping” in Dames, Planes and Automobiles Magazine, Issue #1.
10% of all sales from the magazine will go to featured veteran groups. Hard Copies available as well as digital. Lots of pretty pinups, and beautiful classic cars and vintage planes! Makes a great gift, too!

This is Halloween,
This is Halloween,
I love Halloween. Love it. Love it like I just ate fistfuls of candy and now I’m doing the sugar dance.
I know I’m in the middle of promoting a Book Release and everything, but let’s not forget the true meaning of October: HALLOWEEN!! I don’t know about you, but this month officially kicks off my Holiday Season. This year, with my book just coming out, writing Holiday articles, and planning a lot of life changes with Husband (a blog for another time!), I am almost inclined to ignore Halloween completely. But I just can’t let that happen. So here’s a recipe for 3-D Skull cake for your Halloween or Day of the Dead Celebration, courtesy of one kick-ass lady: Photographer Hailey of Wicked Hailey Photography (TX).
Skull Cake Supplies – by Wicked Hailey
“The first one I made I made a traditional chocolate cake and dusted with powdered sugar (recipe below). I made a 2nd one today and documented it much more. My husband loves Funfetti or Rainbow Party cake mix from the box (~ EYE ROLL~) so I made this one for him. I hate all store bought icing so I made a Royal Icing (recipe below). This not only glued the parts of the skull together, but also makes a hard shell for the cake. Also, the wine is a necessary supply! Enjoy!” – Wicked Hailey
